What will you do?
The objective of this position is to lead tasks and projects aimed at reducing operational risks, ensuring compliance with Safety Essentials standards and applicable legal regulations. The role includes identifying, preventing, and reporting unsafe conditions and behaviors through inspections, audits, and walkthroughs, guaranteeing a safe and healthy environment for all employees. Additionally, this position seeks to promote and influence a safety culture that encourages active participation from all staff members.

• Conduct daily walkthroughs on the shop floor to identify risks and unsafe conditions.
• Issue and verify work permits for high-risk activities.
• Assess hazards and risks in processes and activities, managing both operational and administrative aspects.
• Investigate incidents and Far Miss events, including their operational and administrative management.
• Ensure legal compliance in matters of safety, health, and environment.
• Train operational personnel on risk prevention and safety topics.
• Provide support in administrative activities related to continuous improvement.
• Actively participate in emergency response plans as a brigade member.
• Ensure timely implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
• Contribute to achieving the area’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Requirements:
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Intermidiate English proficiency.
• Experience in risk analysis and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental legislation.
• Preferably experienced in digitalization tools.
• Preferably holds DC5 certification in Mexican Official Standards (NOMs) issued by STPS, related to occupational safety and health.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
• Ability to occasionally provide support at another local site.
