Position Overview:
Under minimal supervision, the Team Leader is responsible for prioritizing and overseeing work within their assigned area while actively performing tasks as needed. This role ensures adherence to 5S principles, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and conducts data analysis and reporting as required. The Team Leader supports production orders and projects by executing processes based on engineering drawings, industry standards, quality best practices, and lean principles—all while maintaining superior safety performance.
Key responsibilities include initiating and leading process improvement projects, providing guidance to resolve factory issues, and leveraging tools such as the SAP ERP system, network files, and company applications to manage workflows effectively.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Coordinate work activities and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with the appropriate departments.
- Maintain required certifications in external standards (e.g., IPC standards) as applicable.
- Participate in internal process reviews and audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Accurately record results and enter data into logbooks or computer systems.
- Analyze and trend monthly team data to identify opportunities and develop actionable improvements.
- Work closely with quality, purchasing, material control, and other team leaders to resolve issues.
- Monitor and process SAP production orders within your assigned area.
- Utilize all required measurement tools to ensure precision and quality.
- Actively engage in planning and lean activities, including 5S, Gemba walks, PDCA cycles, and production meetings.
- Manage and resolve issues related to production orders, inventory, and tools within your area of responsibility.
- Organize and prioritize work with minimal supervision, including scheduling tasks for team members.
- Perform duties within your team’s focus area (Assembly, Test, Material, Quality, etc.) as needed.
- Certify to train others on relevant internal or external processes/standards and serve as a mentor to associates.
- Collaborate across departments to resolve production challenges and material shortages.
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding of products and processes.
- Take ownership of specific production processes, including data analysis and reporting responsibilities.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards to ensure a safe, organized, and accessible work environment.
- Serve as the primary point of leadership for your assigned team, driving continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Perform additional duties as requested or assigned.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong leadership skills
- Intermediate computer skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Basic math and problem solving skills
We would be impressed if you had:
- 3+ years manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of SAP

The base salary range for this position in Munhall, PA is $30.70/hr - $34.10/hr. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.

The pay range for this position is $30.70/hr - $34.10/hr per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
