Role Summary

SI Buildings is establishing a Global Datacenter Application Center, a strategic hub for Siemens Buildings’ data center offerings worldwide. This center will drive innovation, portfolio excellence, and global consistency in delivering sustainable, AI-ready, and efficient data center solutions. The Global Solution Architect (GSA) will be a key enabler of this vision, shaping global architectures, driving prescriptive frameworks, and ensuring alignment across regions, business units, and technical stakeholders. This role combines technical leadership, customer engagement, and ecosystem development to position SI Buildings as the trusted leader in datacenter.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Engagement & Market Differentiation : Engage with consultants and customers to understand evolving needs and deliver differentiated value propositions that strengthen SI Buildings leadership in the global data center market.
Portfolio & Architecture Alignment : Align portfolio requirements with Technical Units (TUs), verticals, and Lead Country Businesses (LCBs). Deliver validated reference architectures Solution design and prescriptive design frameworks that meet global compliance and scalability needs.
Global Account & Market Influence : Support global accounts, participate in strategic industry events, and collaborate with regional hubs and solutions architects to accelerate SI Buildings presales support for GEC/LCBs for strategic and complex projects.
Innovation & Solution Rollout : Drive rollout of advanced technologies such as redundancy frameworks, liquid cooling systems, and AI-ready solutions. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify innovation opportunities.
Customer Engagement & Pre-Sales : Collaborate with vertical sales teams and regional leads to understand customer needs, analyze opportunities, and align solutions with customer strategies. 
Enablement & Training : Empower LCBs and Value-Added Partners (VAPs) through training programs, design workshops, certification initiatives, and train-the-trainer programs.
Bid Support & Standardization : Expand SI Building’ reach through consultant workshops and enablement initiatives while aligning cross-BU strategies to foster global collaboration. Additionally, drive standardization and ensure consistent execution of Bid Factory processes in partnership with Global SCA and GBS teams.
Application Center Contribution : Support the Global Datacenter Application Center’s objectives by driving portfolio excellence, solution design, pre-sales support, and sales enablement

Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in technical sales or vertical markets, with a strong focus on data centers.
Expertise in data center technologies including DCIM, liquid cooling, and integrated management suites.
Strong understanding of global regulatory, legislative, and technological trends.
Data center-specific knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), Power & Energy Management (EPMS), Fire Systems & Suppression, and Security is a key value add.
Exceptional strategic planning, communication, and facilitation skills.
Proven adaptability to evolving business and market conditions.
Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with structured problem-solving capabilities.
