As a Customer Solution Architect within Sales Acceleration, supporting the Life Sciences and Food & Beverage Vertical Sales Teams, you will be a key individual contributor reporting to the Manager of Sales Acceleration, Life Sciences and Food & Beverage. You will empower vertical sales teams and customers by driving adoption of Siemens' Digital Industries (DI) portfolio, with a focus on automation and digitalization solutions. This role maximizes solution and product sales by applying the Digital Thread methodology and leveraging the Challenger Sales Approach to deliver meaningful outcomes and accelerate the sales process. You will translate customer insights into effective, cost-efficient solutions that align with the Siemens Sales Engagement Model, serving as a trusted advisor to vertical sales teams and customers.
We are looking for a Customer Solution Architect. This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the continental US.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Driving Sales Engagement: Independently drive and apply the Siemens Sales Engagement Model within your assigned accounts to achieve sales acceleration targets.
- Strategic Implementation: Actively implement sales acceleration strategies, policies, and guidelines, ensuring alignment with overall Sales Acceleration management objectives.
- Market & Customer Identification: Identify key and emerging markets and support the definition and identification of target customers across the Digital Industries Automation portfolio nationwide.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration with Sales teams, Marketing & Communication, Product Management in the Zone, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless value delivery and maximize market opportunities.
- Solution Development & Delivery: Translate complex customer challenges into clear, actionable requirements and work to deliver innovative automation and digitalization solutions that meet their evolving needs.
- Trusted Advisory: Serve as a primary technical and strategic advisor to customers and internal sales teams, guiding them through the adoption of Siemens' cutting-edge technologies.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivilent GED required.
- 3+ years of proven experience in a technical sales, solution consulting, application engineering, or similar individual contributor role within industrial automation or digitalization
- 5+ years experience demonstrating exceptional customer interaction, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a strong customer-centric approach
- Experience working with End Users, primarily in hybrid and process-oriented industries, such as Life Sciences and Food & Beverage
- Technical expertise in Siemens Industrial Automation and Digitalization Portfolio, with a proven track record of applying these technologies to solve complex customer problems
- Comprehensive knowledge of industrial automation market drivers, trends, and evolving customer needs, particularly in the context of digital transformation
- Experience with various project collaboration models and sales processes
- Excellent verbal, written and time management skills
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 50%, with occasional international travel
- Legal authorization to work in the United States permanently, without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience in a technical sales, solution consulting, application engineering, or similar individual contributor role within industrial automation or digitalization
- Prior experience in developing and deploying customer-facing solutions across multiple channels to market
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Strategic Agility: Ability to foresee future trends in industrial automation and digitalization, contributing to competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans, and influencing outcomes without direct authority
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business operations and market dynamics, with knowledge of current and future practices, trends, and information impacting the industrial business landscape
- Organizational Agility: Knows how to get things done through formal and informal networks. Works effectively in a matrix structure to exploit opportunities. Rallies the team behind the right opportunities and initiatives
- Exceptional Customer Focus: A dedication to understanding and meeting customer needs, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement in products, solutions, and services
- High Degree of Professional Ownership: Demonstrate strong personal accountability and take initiative to drive projects to completion, even in large, complex working groups
- Proven ability to work autonomously and thrive in a remote, virtual work environment

The pay range for this position is $73,500 - $126,000 annually with a target incentive of of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
