Location: This is a hybrid role which will allow you to split your time between home and the Manchester office 2/3 days a week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Buyer to join our Supply Chain Management team in the UK.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of Indirect Material procurement for Siemens businesses, building strong relationships across the organisation and driving innovation in how we work.
As a Senior Buyer, your focus will be on delivering procurement value and strategic impact across Siemens UK, while collaborating closely with UK Commodity Managers, EMEA, and global teams. You’ll champion digital transformation and AI adoption within SCM, helping us optimise processes, improve transparency, and shape the future of procurement.

You’ll create impact by:
- Act as the primary point of contact for Siemens business units, ensuring alignment of procurement strategies with operational needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships to support collaboration and deliver value-added solutions.
- Lead sourcing activities, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Develop and drive sustainability topics and social value projects to make a positive impact for both Siemens and Society.
- Drive digital transformation within procurement by implementing AI-enabled tools to optimise sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance.
- Identify and lead opportunities for automation and process improvement through advanced analytics and emerging technologies.
- Champion innovation by piloting generative AI solutions to enhance decision-making and streamline procurement workflows.
You’ll build on your existing expertise, including:
- Broad supply chain knowledge
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills at all levels
- Ability to build trust and confidence quickly and expertly
- Knowledge of AI applications in supply chain and drive adoption
- Familiarity with digitalisation frameworks and tools
- Change management and stakeholder engagement for digital initiatives
- Passion to make a difference and have creative thinking and a forward-looking mindset
