System Testing & Commissioning Engineer (Electrical & Traction Dynamic Integration) @Siemens Mobility Egypt

Today, we are recruiting for a Test & Commissioning (T&C) Engineer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.
What are my responsibilities?
- Develop, review, execute, and document test procedures for system integration, OCS dynamic interaction, traction power, electrification, and EMI/EMC tests.
- Coordinate all static and dynamic testing activities with engineering, rolling stock, electrification, and operations teams, ensuring alignment with project timelines and T&C sequences.
- Manage the full lifecycle of test procedure submissions, approvals, and reporting with consultants and the client.
- Conduct regular site inspections along the project alignment to verify subsystem readiness for integrated testing.
- Support E&B and EMC Management in resolving interface issues, reviewing designs, witnessing tests, and ensuring electrical safety compliance.
- Collect and analyze test data using appropriate tools and sensors, prepare detailed test reports, and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant EN standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements throughout testing activities.
- Coordinate permits, access requests, and weekly planning topics, ensuring test readiness and resource availability (train, staff, track access).
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders (T&C, Engineering, Rolling Stock, Electrification, Operations) and external partners (Consortium, Employer’s Engineer, Client).
- Support homologation activities, documentation for EMC conformity, and issue resolution during the Trial Run phase.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- You hold an engineering degree, preferably in electrical engineering or electrical power engineering.
- You bring solid experience in railway systems, ideally in AC traction, electrical networks, auxiliary power systems, or rail EMC/E&B.
- You have strong knowledge of grounding, lightning protection, fault analysis, electrical safety, measurements, and rail EMC principles.
- You are familiar with EN standards such as EN 50317, 50119, 50122, 50110, 50121, 50367, 50318, 50388, 50562, 50206-1.
- You have strong analytical abilities for interpreting test data and solving technical issues.
- You communicate clearly, work independently, and maintain a structured and quality-driven work approach.
- You are experienced in coordinating complex testing schedules and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- You prepare accurate reports, documentation, and test records with high attention to detail.
- You bring strong interpersonal skills and comfort working in international and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of simulation tools for dynamic interaction validation is an advantage.
- Fluent in English and Arabic is a must.
