Siemens is seeking a motivated Technical Support Engineer to join our Digital Electrical Solutions team supporting WinPM.Net, Powermanager, Metering portfolio, and Sm@rtGear® systems. This role provides first-line (Level 1) and advanced (Level 2) support for customers, field service personnel, and engineering teams. Engineers will diagnose software, devices, and communication issues while enabling safe, reliable operation of power monitoring solutions.

You will make an impact with the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for EPMS, Metering, and Sm@rtGear support inquiries.
  • Assist customers with installation, configuration, and commissioning tasks.
  • Perform first-level diagnostics for communication, device, or configuration issues.
  • Document all support cases, solutions, and communications in ticketing systems.
  • Escalate issues to Level 2 support with detailed logs, screenshots, and root symptoms.
  • Track follow-ups, handle recurring incidents, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform deep-dive troubleshooting for SQL, device mapping, advanced networking, and protocol issues.
  • Analyze power monitoring data integrity, alarms, and system performance.
  • Replicate field issues in lab environments for root-cause identification.
  • Support integration with Modbus, Profibus, PLCs, and third‑party systems.
  • Coordinate with product engineering for defects or enhancement requests.
  • Liaison for white labeled and 3rd party software
  • Provide mentoring and knowledge sharing to solutions engineers.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • 3 plus years supporting power monitoring, SCADA, or electrical systems.
  • Experience with RS‑485, TCP/IP, Modbus, Profibus, or OPC communications.
  • Competency in network troubleshooting and device communication diagnostics.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for site or customer support.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with TIA Portal, industrial communication, or device configuration.
  • Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and customer‑
  • Ability to manage multiple support cases and work autonomously.
  • Experience with WinPM.Net, Power Monitoring Expert, PowerScada, or PowerXpert.
  • SQL knowledge for queries, data extraction, and system analysis.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and one‑line diagrams.
  • PLC programming or ION module configuration experience.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, Windows Server, and virtualization.

The pay range for this position is $92,320 - $158,263. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
