Siemens Mobility Thailand is looking for a Section Manager- SIG/PSD in Bangkok office. 

This is your role. What part will you play?

You will be responsible for management and supervision the Shift Leaders, Engineers, Technician and Workers, who are employed within the SIG/PSD Maintenance as well as any temporary personnel within this section.

The key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve the technical management system for the Signalling System and Platform Screen Doors (PSD), including procedures, workflows, documentation, and performance controls.
  • Oversee the technical condition, operational integrity, and regulatory compliance of all related wayside and onboard signalling equipment, as well as PSD installations.
  • Manage staff competency by identifying training needs, providing coaching, developing skill-development programs, and ensuring personnel are fully qualified for their assigned tasks.
  • Ensure all maintenance procedures, work instructions, technical documents, and records are properly prepared, updated, and controlled in accordance with corporate and industry standards.
  • Lead day-to-day operational planning, supervision, and coordination of the maintenance team, ensuring effective allocation of manpower and resources.
  • Monitor maintenance performance, analyse equipment history, inspection results, and fault trends, and implement improvement actions to enhance reliability and availability.
  • Ensure a robust safety culture by enforcing safety standards, conducting safety oversight, and ensuring all activities comply with railway safety rules, regulations, and hazard-control requirements.
  • Oversee material and spare-parts management, ensuring the availability, suitability, and traceability of critical items required for maintenance and incident response.
  • Provide strong technical and administrative support to the Head of Maintenance, including participation in manpower planning, recruitment, competency evaluation, and development of training programs.
  • Coordinate incident response readiness by ensuring the availability of capable personnel, tools, and materials, and by guiding the team in the execution of urgent corrective actions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Railway Engineering (or related field), with strong knowledge of signalling systems and Platform Screen Doors (PSD).
  • Proven experience in maintenance management of railway signalling or similar safety-critical systems, including compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Leadership and team management skills, with experience in planning, supervising, and developing technical staff competency.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability, capable of monitoring performance data, interpreting fault trends, and implementing reliability improvement measures.
  • Strong safety and quality orientation, ensuring adherence to safety rules, hazard-control requirements, and robust documentation practices.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written Thai; good proficiency in English communication.
