Electrification & Automation

The Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future. 

We are looking for a Team Lead II for our LV/MV assembly Integration team. This position will be based in Knightdale, NC. You will train at our Wendell, NC facility for the first month before moving over to the Knightdale location.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Team Lead will lead the manufacturing activities as assigned at the Siemens plant in Knightdale, NC

Shift Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm

Hourly Rate: 30.17

You’ll make an impact by:

• Coordinate employees to fulfill the work schedule and serve as backup for the Production Manager when needed; perform additional tasks as directed.
• Responsible for cross-training actions defined by the Production Manager, including updating the training matrix and empowering the team through active involvement.
• Perform SAP transactions throughout the production process and access necessary documents related to manufacturing (e.g., SOPs, Safety Documents, Work Instructions).
• Update reports and files for area metrics/measurements, ensure tool calibration is current, and demonstrate excellent time management and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment.
• Identify and report production-impacting issues, proactively collaborate across departments to resolve them, and apply Lean principles such as 5S/6S, 8 Wastes mitigation, VSM, Kaizens, and Standard Work.
• Actively participate in cleaning equipment and work areas to ensure safety, while conforming to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies and promoting continuous improvement.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years in a team lead / supervisory position
• 7+ years’ work experience in manufacturing environment 
• Knowledge on all operations in the area, material flow and SAP transactions
• Experience in training programs.
• Reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material and make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or Associates Degree
• Lean and continuous improvement mindset and some experience with practical problem solving including A3, 8D, 5S/6S, Gemba, and factory visual management.
• Must be able to use Microsoft office.

• The pay for this position is $30.17/hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
