Position Overview:

As an Assembler I in our Finishings Department, you’ll play a critical hands-on role in building world-class rail vehicles. Working with advanced materials and precision components, you’ll help deliver the highest-quality transportation solutions in a dynamic, team-driven environment.

What your day may look like:

• Assemble components for light rail vehicles and coaches, including panels, windows, and floor tiles, using adhesive bonding techniques.
• Perform surface preparation and bodywork utilizing power tools.
• Build mechanical sub-assemblies and full assemblies for light rail vehicles and coaches.
• Connect wiring between components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble parts as required.
• Carry out electro-mechanical production tasks and install components such as mechanical parts, piping, and bogies.
• Interpret and work from production blueprints, parts lists, wire lists, sketches, and verbal instructions to complete mechanical assembly operations.
• Operate hand and power tools safely; certification may be required for equipment such as cranes and forklifts.
• Identify and report issues promptly to the Group Lead or Manager.
• Perform tasks requiring knowledge of multiple production processes, operations, and equipment.

What will make you successful in this role:

• High school diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Proven experience with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Previous experience with bonding and surface preparation.

This position in located in Sacramento, CA. The base hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour plus a 10% shift differential for second shift. This is a second shift position. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
