Position Overview:

The Quality Assurance Supervisor leads a team of QA inspectors responsible for ensuring the quality of train car coaches. This role involves prioritizing and assigning tasks to team members, monitoring the progress of agreed transactions and workflows, and managing quality-related activities with both internal and external stakeholders. The supervisor ensures real-time production quality reporting to facilitate ad-hoc analysis, instant decision-making, preventive actions, and continuous improvement.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 4pm - 12:30am.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Lead a team of QA inspectors to perform quality gate inspections on coaches, covering all stages from car shell welding to finishing and final assembly.
• Coordinate inspections with production teams and customer resident inspectors.
• Serve as the escalation point of contact for production quality issues.
• Ensure the implementation and continuous improvement of the quality component of the Integrated Management System for Rolling Stock Lexington, in alignment with the quality strategy and local regulations.

To thrive in this role, you have:

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of quality experience, or vocational training with 10 years of quality experience.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Previous quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• A continuous improvement mindset.

Physical Demands:

• The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. 
• The employee is occasionally required to sit. 
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 40 pounds or more.

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $102,102 - $119,952. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
