Role: Siemens Mobility India Business Partnering 

Education Qualification
  • Chartered Accountant with 10 - 12 years of post-qualification experience.  
  • Critical to have complex project accounting / audit experience as part of professional firms or from Industry

Skill sets required:
  • Strong technical knowledge and application of Ind AS / IFRS, experience of designing and testing of ICFR, understanding of accounting processes, and analytical mindset.
  • Meaningful exposure to large and complex projects in terms of ability to comprehend critical business models, read complex contracts, identify critical commercial/ business terms to be able to reflect the business fairly in the financial statements. 
  • Executive communication including ability to coach, influence, constructively engage & challenge with a wide range of stakeholders; ability to operate in a multicultural environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Technical Accounting Advisory:
Analyze and resolve accounting issues related to the Mobility business under Ind AS, IFRS, and Siemens financial reporting framework. Provide formal opinions on technical queries raised by the MO division

  • Issuing accounting policies & guidelines:
Formulate accounting policies for both local and global reporting requirements across areas such as project accounting, revenue recognition (POC), warranty provisions, derivatives, and inventory valuation

  • Standards Implementation:
Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and amendments, ensuring timely and accurate adoption across Mobility business.

  • ICFR Governance:
Design and implement key ICFR controls in collaboration with the ICFR team. Ensure robust internal control frameworks are in place and functioning effectively.  Extend support to address identified control deficiencies sustainably

  • Business Partnering:
Review large awards/ orders for Order recognition criteria, identification and valuation of different performance obligations and associated accounting implications.  Participate in project review and leadership meetings with the MO business team, offering accounting insights and guidance to support strategic decision-making.

Liaise with entire SMO finance organization as well as the with the experts in Head Quarters (HQ) to ensure proper accounting treatment for a highly sophisticated project business

  • Training & Capability Building:
Conduct training sessions on accounting topics to enhance financial literacy and compliance within the MO division

  • Audit Coordination:
Liaise with statutory auditors to address and resolve audit queries in collaboration with the MO business team.
