Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Service Repair Shop Supervisor to lead and manage repair activities for steam turbine rotors, sub-assemblies, and associated auxiliaries. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and proficiency in SAP and engineering documentation systems to ensure timely, cost-effective, and safe execution of repair projects.

Technical & Operational:

  • Oversee repairs of steam turbine rotors, sub-assemblies, and other auxiliaries.
  • Supervise machining and assembly operations for rotors and components.
  • Interpret component drawings and coordinate with operators for clarity; liaise with engineering for BOM and detailed specifications.
  • Manage servicing of sub-assemblies (servomotors, safety blocks, ESV controllers, governors), including identification of worn/damaged parts and requisition of replacements.
  • Create and track job schedules as per finalized scope.
  • Ensure on-time delivery within cost and scope constraints.
  • Maintain rout cards for material movement and evaluate planned vs. actual time for activities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and customers for timely project execution.

SAP & Data Management:

  • Utilize SAP for workshop execution and repair activity management.
  • Create material masters, purchase requisitions, and maintain BOM in SAP.
  • Monitor inventory, allocate costs to WBS numbers, and generate reports (CCM, POC, PR-PO).
  • Release production orders and maintain minimum stock requirements.

EHS & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations during all repair activities.
  • Implement EHS guidelines and coordinate risk mitigation measures.
  • Manage timely calibration of lifting tools and tackles.

ISO & Documentation:

  • Participate in internal and external audits for ISO certification renewal.
  • Compile repair reports and maintain project documentation (POs, schedules, cost sheets, meeting minutes) for audit reviews.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in steam turbine repair and assembly operations.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, component drawings, and BOM management.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Strong focus on time and cost management with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with EHS guidelines and ISO audit processes.
