The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets. 

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team at Roebuck, SC.

The Quality Engineer analyzes production and quality data to identify trends and drive problem-solving. Responsibilities include maintaining quality systems and procedures, preparing reports, managing training, and conducting economic impact analyses. This role also develops inspection programs for incoming, in-process, and final products, and performs audits to ensure effective quality controls.

You'll make impact by:

  • Apply advanced quality engineering practices to resolve complex issues and manage control plans, FMEAs, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams and leadership to set process goals, implement inspection instructions, and ensure production efficiency.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset while driving continuous improvement in manufacturing quality.
  • Lead non-conformance investigations using 8D methodology, document issues, verify corrective actions, and initiate preventive measures.
  • Track and analyze KPIs, Cost of Quality data, and performance metrics to reduce failure costs and improve quality using tools like DMAIC, FMEA, SPC, Lean, and MSA/GRR.
  • Supervise hourly Quality Inspectors and ensure effective use of non-conformance reporting systems for timely resolution of quality issues.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a quality-related role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) credential.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
  • Hands-on experience with metal fabrication and assembly processes (shearing, stamping, forming, welding, painting, plating).
  • Familiarity with electrical controls, wiring schematics, and testing standards.
  • Familiarity with switchboards, lighting panels, and/or busway systems 
  • Knowledge of SAP transactions and QM modules.
  • Experience with digitization and automation of data acquisition (Tableau, Power Automate, Mendix).

The pay range for this position is $83,966 - $143,942 annually with a target incentive of of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
