Then come and join our global team as Owner for Data Catalog and Governance (f/m/d) and take on a key role in delivering internal data and metadata at the highest quality standards – serving as an essential foundation for strategic decision-making and successful digital transformation.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • As part of the Data Management and Governance team within IT, you are responsible for building, further developing, and leading a Data Catalog Service, while ensuring coverage of all ITSM aspects.
  • You take ownership of IT Service Management and Application Management, organizing the performant, secure, and stable operation of the platform.
  • You define SLAs and OLAs and ensure continuous improvement based on clearly defined KPIs.
  • You manage the product backlog for this service using agile methodologies and ensure transparency as well as proactive communication with all stakeholders.
  • You work very closely with other functional areas such as Intelligent Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Architecture, and Data Provisioning, as well as with the business units.
  • Together with global stakeholders, you analyze data and metadata requirements and implement them based on a clear data strategy and a modern framework.
  • You actively shape the target architecture, make well-founded decisions, or provide clear recommendations to domain and enterprise architects as well as to management.
  • You advise on topics such as metadata management, data architecture, data governance, data domains, data standards, and regulatory matters including data protection and privacy.
  • You identify opportunities and optimization potential, define and plan initiatives or projects, and play a key role in delivering the Data Management roadmap.
  • You coordinate measures, foster exchange within communities, committees, and governance bodies, and ensure regular reporting to management.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • You bring extensive, relevant professional experience in ITIL, ideally combined with data strategy, data management, data governance, and data architecture in an enterprise environment.
  • You possess deep expertise in the design, implementation, and operationalization of data governance applications or other similarly complex domains.
  • You have strong experience in requirements engineering, demand or project management, structured problem-solving, and agile working models, and ideally some first experience in technical leadership.
  • With your solid background in service management, demand management, or business partner management, you communicate in a goal-oriented and customer-focused manner with a variety of stakeholders.


Your attributes and skills:

  • Your fluent English enables you to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues in an international environment. German skills are a plus.
  • You are the ideal candidate for this position if you combine initiative and expertise with practical skills and strong communication abilities, and enjoy tackling challenging innovation initiatives.
