Gas Turbine Tools design & analysis engineer is responsible for design of gas turbine engine tools by developing concepts, hand calculation and finite element analysis using NX and ANSYS. The engineer should be able to understand the functional, assembly and manufacturing requirements and come up with innovative & appropriate solutions to meet the design requirements. 

Need to work within the team and with cross-functional teams. Job requires creating 3D models, finite element models to check mechanical integrity, risk assessment, drawing and bill of material checking. Very good knowledge of engineering mechanics & finite element analysis, good understanding of product safety including declaration of conformity (CE), and experience in design and analysis of heavy-duty product handling devices are essential. 

Job also requires regular interaction with global teams in USA and Germany. Hence, engineer should have strong communication skills and intercultural knowledge.

The selected candidate will report to whole engine module manager within Siemens-Energy Gas Turbine Engineering.



Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:


Understand the product structure, design requirements and design principles.

Design and finite element analysis of Gas Turbine Tooling components such as lifting, transportation and assembly devices.

Create new tool designs and product assemblies.

Documentation of analysis results confirming global standards

Working with projects leads to understand the requirements, providing engineering data, timelines and completing related design activities within agreed timeline.



We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:


B E / B Tech in Mechanical engineering or equivalent

6 to 10 years of experience in Tooling Design and analysis for heavy machinery [transportation, assembly and lifting]. 

Experience in utilizing mechanical engineering skills to analyze technical requirements and applying appropriate skill set to design and detailing complex components and assemblies using NX (Unigraphics).  

Very good experience in Finite element analysis using ANSYS Workbench

Mechanical-design fundamentals & problem-solving skills. Ability to perform engineering calculations. 

Apply GD&T per ASME Y-14.5M and ISO GPS(Geometrical Product Specifications)

Knowledge of Eurocodes and ASME Standards for the application of lifting, transportation and assembly devices

Exposure to welding standards and its application 

Gas Turbine Component and System Design Experience or any turbomachinery design experience

Very good interpersonal and communication skills to work with a cross-functional team and with different cultural backgrounds.

Flexibility to work with different time zones.
