About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation:

The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s power grid!

We are looking for a Data Excellence Specialist. This position is based in Wendell, NC

You’ll make an impact by: 

The Data Excellence Analyst is an important team member focused on supporting data-driven decision-making and helping to maintain data quality within the organization. This role assists with implementing data management practices, contributes to analytics projects, and promotes data literacy across various teams. Working alongside colleagues from different departments, the Data Excellence Analyst helps leverage data assets to improve operations, support customer engagement, and identify new opportunities for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting Data Strategy & Governance

  • Assist in implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Help with metadata enrichment and digital-first data architectures.

Data Management & Quality

  • Contribute to efforts that improve data quality, standardization, and accessibility.
  • Support data stewardship activities to maintain high-quality datasets for analytics and reporting.
  • Help implement data platforms, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency.

Analytics & Insights

  • Assist in enabling analytics and real-time data insights for business functions.
  • Collaborate with digital teams to integrate data analytics into product and customer engagement strategies.
  • Learn and support the use of Generative AI, RAG, and CoPilot solutions.

Data Literacy & Culture

  • Help develop training programs and promote data literacy across the organization.
  • Champion ethical data and AI use, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Work with HR and workforce transformation teams to support employee upskilling in data analytics and digital tools.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in data analytics, data management, or data governance
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, data modeling, and data architecture
  • Must be legally authorize to work in the USA without the need of company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in digital customer engagement strategies and data-driven product innovation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams is a plus

The pay range for this position is $74,970 - $128,520 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
