The Siemens Industry – Vertical Sales Discrete Mid-Market (VSD MMKT) Team continues to grow and is looking to add a Sales Account Manager to lead and aggressively expand our footprint within mid-sized End User accounts and their associated supply chain in the Transportation, Semiconductor, and Electronics verticals. As a sales professional, this role will be viewed as a “best in class” account manager who will help lead Siemens into the next decade of success with our ever-expanding Digital portfolio.
The Mid-Market Sales Account Manager represents Siemens DI (Digital Industries) technologies and solutions. In this role, the Account Manager will act as the CEO for their assigned account portfolio including setting the account strategies and ensuring effective execution in alignment with annual sales goals and objectives. This is a key role within the Mid-Market team and is responsible for coordinating all business relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Mid-Market Sales Account Manager is responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining successful and mutually beneficial relationships at all levels, up to the C-level of customers. In their work, the Mid-Market Sales Account Manager coordinates with the assigned Sales Acceleration Consultant to address all aspects of the customer pursuit and relationship development. This individual will need to be accustomed to working with a CRM tool for account planning, opportunity tracking, financial tracking, forecasting, and overall account coordination. This position reports to the VSD Mid-Market Sales Manager.
We are looking for a Sales Account Manager. This position is remote and can be located within the Eastern half of the United States with a preferred location in the Mid-Atlantic or Northeast region.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Analyzing the customer’s business targets & strategy, issues, needs, processes, value chain and key business drivers to effectively transform these data points into actionable information and strategic next steps in customer and project pursuit.
- Focusing on and pursuing strategic business opportunities with Anchor Accounts by collaborating with the Sales Acceleration Team and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Representing the customer to the Siemens DI organization and ensuring a unified approach across all technology and solutions towards the customer.
- Developing a unified 1–3-year key account strategy for Anchor Accounts based on the strategic goals of the customer, market knowledge, and mapping those to the Siemens DI value story.
- Creating an overall business plan for your customer list that ensures sufficient focus on Anchor Account development as well as Conquest Account pursuit and expansion.
- Building/maintaining sustainable relationships with the appropriate decision makers within customers on Account List.
- Facilitating and planning relationships on executive and senior levels with the customer’s and Siemens’ management.
- Building and leading the team of stakeholders, both internally and externally, in order to establish long-term customer partnerships leading to expansion of content and growth for Siemens DI.
- Leveraging modern digitalization tools to effectively and efficiently perform critical tasks and activities while minimizing administrative burden.

Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of overall professional experience.
- 5+ years of sales account management or related sales management experience with a track record of successful performance.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technical, or management related program.
- 10+ years of sales experience in automation, data networking, cybersecurity, or related technology.
- Executive level communication & presentation skills.
- Extensive experience in team building, coordination, collaboration, and detailed strategy planning and execution.
- Extensive experience with the Salesforce® and/or Outreach® CRM tools.
- Proficiency with AI tools for data analysis, predictions, suggestions, customer role-play / situational training, etc.
- Experience in a large, complex, multi-national corporation.

- The base pay range for this position is $89,821-$153,979 and the incentive target is 40% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.

The pay range for this position is $89,821 - $153,979 annually with a target incentive of of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
