Position Overview:

As a Customer Service (CS) Warehouse Group Lead, you will support and lead a wide range of activities in a dynamic, high-energy warehouse environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to production departments, enabling the servicing of the world’s best rail vehicles. This role focuses on key warehouse functions such as receiving, put-away, picking, kitting, and material delivery to the CS Service Shop. Additionally, you will interact with the MRP system to accurately track material movements and ensure inventory integrity.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Provides work assignments and work instructions to employees throughout each workday.
  • Assists and trains employees in new job assignments.
  • Coordinates work schedules with other Group Leaders and/or Supervisors and maintains work status.
  • Performs quality checks on work being performed.
  • Monitors employees' safety, quality, methods, and output.
  • Keeps supervision informed of work plans, status, and employee performance.
  • Prepares and/or reviews employee time sheets and other labor input documents.
  • Assists the supervisor in conducting regular safety meetings.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • High school education or GED
  • 2 years previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Basic English skills - ability to read and understand written instructions and effectively communicate verbally.
  • Ability to Lead and train Associates.

We would be impressed if you have:

  • Previous warehouse leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous Powered Industrial Vehicle certification

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, candidates will be subject to a background check and drug screen.
  • Training and certification for use of powered industrial vehicles will be provided.

    • Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
    • Frequently required to work on elevated platforms.
    • Frequently lift and move no more than 40 pounds.
    • Talk and hear.
    • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

The base rate range for this position in Lexington, NC is $25.85/hr - $27.43/hr. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.

The pay range for this position is $25.85/hr - $27.43/hr per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
