Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the (social) tax compliance considerations for cross-border employment situations (e.g. Tax Equalization, shadow payroll, sourcing of income) across multiple jurisdictions with a focus on the EMEA/CEE region.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to provide global oversight of all mobility tax related activities, ensuring compliance with international tax and social security regulations, including support of tax audits internally and executed by tax departments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Tax Operations, Global Mobility Consultants, Payroll, Corporate Tax, and P&O governance functions, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of taxation and shadow payroll processes.
  • Optimize tax processes and review the vendor and technology landscape for cross-border employment situations.
  • Monitor and analyze global taxation and payroll trends, changing regulations, and best practices to ensure we remain compliant and competitive and address relevant risks.
  • Implement strategies and solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and stakeholder engagement, addressing their needs and concerns proactively with the focus of standardizing global processes and operations.
  • Develop training and communication material and conduct training sessions for HR, business leaders and employees.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and provide training and support to regional teams.
 

We are looking for someone with…

  • You have a minimum of five (5) years' professional experience in taxation and HR/payroll in an international environment.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in taxation, finance, accounting, or business administration. A Master's degree, MBA, or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CPP) on international taxation is preferred.
  • You possess strong knowledge of international income tax law and have a profound understanding of corporate tax law and transfer pricing considerations, including support for tax audits
  • You are able to interpret and apply multi- and bilateral tax and social security agreements in complex scenarios.
  • You bring a high level of intercultural sensitivity and motivate international teams and value teamwork and trustful collaborations.
  • You impress us with excellent communication skills, resilience, analytical abilities, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and assertiveness, along with the ability to establish strong networks with various stakeholders at all levels (internal and external).
  • You have the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are a dedicated team player who collaborates with the expert team to make decisions and thereby enabling high performance.
  • Proficiency in English is essential, with additional language being a plus.
