Siemens are looking to drive growth within the ANZ Defence vertical taking our world class product and solution offering to the market. We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to take our Defence Vertical to new heights across Australia and New Zealand.

As the Vertical Lead - Defence at Siemens Ltd, you will spearhead the development and implementation of a cross-business Defence Vertical Market Strategy. Your mission is to drive profit, growth, and satisfaction for customers and employees in this vertical.

This role can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to, own, and execute the vertical strategic plan, marketing programs, and multi-channel approaches to drive revenue, market share, and profit margins
• Market Analysis: Participate in the ongoing analysis of the local vertical market to identify threats, opportunities, and trends. Recommend and execute strategic changes to maintain competitive advantage
• Collaboration: Work closely with Defence business development, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment with local business objectives and Siemens' global vertical strategy
• Customer Relations: Develop strong relationships with customers, sales, execution, and marketing organizations to understand and translate customer needs into actionable Siemens solutions
• Leadership: Lead marketing and research efforts, develop go-to-market strategies, and coordinate with local business units to achieve key performance indicators
• Networking: Represent Siemens and network with industry executives and client leadership to enhance our business image and success
• Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key business metrics such as pipeline, secured orders, and forecasting
• Project Coordination: Oversee project delivery topics across business units and customers, identifying potential synergies or issues affecting the overall market strategy.

To be considered for this role it is likely that you will have a deep understanding of the Defence vertical landscape, including customers and competitors, a strong network at senior levels within the industry, and a customer-centric mindset with a proven track record of building strategies that drive sustainable growth. In addition, you will need to demonstrate an adaptive leadership style to engage with teams and stakeholders, fostering a culture of trust and belonging, along with excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
