In Egypt, Siemens Mobility is delivering one of the country’s first high-speed rail system. This landmark project, spanning approximately 2,000 kilometers, will connect 60 cities across Egypt, transforming transportation for both passengers and goods. Today, we are recruiting for a Scheduling Engineer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.
What Are My Responsibilities?
- Implement and support project schedule management procedures in accordance with approved planning standards and project requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and update Primavera P6 schedules from scratch, including phase-based, resource-loaded, and cost-loaded schedules.
- Prepare detailed work packages, execution schedules, and look-ahead plans aligned with site activities.
- Collect, verify, and update progress data in close coordination with site engineers and project teams.
- Analyze schedule deviations, delays, conflicts, and impacts, and propose effective mitigation and recovery measures.
- Perform Earned Value (EV) analysis and support project control and performance monitoring activities.
- Coordinate planning and scheduling activities with project managers, site staff, and consortium partners, as applicable.
- Prepare and issue monthly progress reports, including deviation analysis, S-curves, schedule variance, critical path updates, and resource reports.
- Support internal and client schedule submissions, baseline updates, and reporting requirements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of planning dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI knowledge is an advantage).
What Are My Qualifications?
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering .
- 3-5 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or project controls roles.
- Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Strong site-based experience with direct involvement in execution-phase planning .
- Proven experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule performance analysis.
- Experience in railway or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Familiarity with contractual schedule submissions and client reporting is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English to communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
