You will be part of a growing Hub organization in the Legal department of Siemens Portugal. The Hub serves various countries and businesses around the world. As this is still a new concept you have the exciting opportunity to shape this promising concept for the future. 


Your mission will be… 
  • Very diverse and interesting and offers the opportunity to get an excellent overview of what Siemens does. You will work exclusively for the Digital Industries Software business. 
  • Siemens Digital Industries Software (DI SW) is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
  • The Legal team of DI SW is a global team based in various locations all over the world with headquarters in the US. As business enablers we advise and support the software business in all legal matters with a strong focus on commercial transactions. We are a highly motivated and innovative team, closely connected and collaborating on a day-to-day basis across the globe.
  • You will support the EMEA and USA legal counsels in different types of commercial transactions, including software and cloud related customer agreements, non-disclosure agreements, procurement agreements and other related inbound agreements with technology partners. In addition, you will also support the Central Legal team with M&A projects and maintain sales terms, templates and processes across the globe. The support requests will be mainly in English, and you will be working cross-functionally with many different stakeholders throughout our organization, including senior-level representatives of DI SW’s global Go-to-Market and Sales Operations organization, who count on you to advise on complex legal issues in an easily understandable and digestible manner. 

We are looking for someone with… 
  • Law Degree with a distinguished academic record from a European University.
  • 3 plus years of legal work experience in transactional law, acquired in either a law firm or corporate in-house legal team.
  • Previous experience in international environments (e.g., international law firms or multinational corporations) is highly desirable.
  • Solid expertise in Commercial Contract Law: 
  • Understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS) subscription-based business models and cloud infrastructure transactions.
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating software licensing, solutions contracts, service contracts, and procurement agreements. Basic understanding of new legal frameworks; specific knowledge of the Data Act, AI Act, NIS2, and IT Law are a significant advantage.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A growth mindset that is driven to finding scalable solutions and harmonized approaches to support new business models.
  • Sensitivity to legislative differences across the globe and be able to work effectively with a global perspective in a geographically dispersed business.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and a strong collaboration mindset that supports teamwork in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Full professional fluency in English (C2 level).
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented approach with a "hands-on" mentality.
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to optimize legal workflows and core tasks.
Nice if you have
  • Additional language skills in a European language, especially French, Spanish, or German 
  • Knowledge of Portuguese on a conversational level 

The contract term is (initially) limited to 1 year (project-related).
