This pivotal role as Senior Transformation Manager (f/m/d) involves leading the strategic implementation, optimization, and transformative adoption of EPLAN software for medium and low voltage switchgear systems. The incumbent will drive the digital transformation of electrical engineering processes, ensuring seamless EPLAN integration across functions, and fostering efficiency, standardization, and innovation in customized product design.

You’ll make an impact by 

  • Define and execute EPLAN rollout strategies and global standards. This involves developing comprehensive plans for the deployment of EPLAN across different regions and business units, ensuring consistency in usage and adherence to established global best practices and standards for electrical design.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various EPLAN modules and macro technology. Act as the primary go-to person for in-depth knowledge and support regarding EPLAN Electric P8, Pro Panel, and other relevant modules, including the development and application of advanced macro technology for automated design processes.
  • Lead all aspects of the creation, maintenance, and governance of EPLAN master data, ensuring data integrity and facilitating seamless integration with critical enterprise systems such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) for a holistic data flow.
  • Drive initiatives to automate the creation of EPLAN projects, particularly for highly customized switchgear solutions, by leveraging variant configuration, intelligent macros, and scripting to significantly reduce engineering time and errors.
  • Implement robust variant management strategies within EPLAN to efficiently handle product variations, and lead the standardization efforts for Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools across the organization to enhance consistency and interoperability.

Your defining qualities

  • Education: University’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience & Skills:
    • Many years of experience in CAE/electrical design, with at least several years specifically focused on EPLAN implementation and management within a systems business or highly customized product environment.
    • Demonstrated profound expertise of EPLAN P8 and related modules, coupled with extensive practical experience in applying this software for the design and engineering of medium and low voltage switchgear systems.
    • Skillful in utilizing EPLAN's advanced functionalities, such as macro technology, variant configuration, and automation features, to enhance design efficiency, accelerate time-to-market for customized products, and ensure high-quality engineering outputs.
  • Ways of working:
    • Ability to critically analyze existing electrical engineering workflows, identify bottlenecks, and develop innovative, EPLAN-centric solutions to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
    • Proven track record in successfully leading complex digital transformation projects, including change management, stakeholder engagement, and project execution from conception to successful implementation.
    • Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, build consensus, and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external partners.
  • Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
