Act as part of a Country Professional Services team, work efficiently with other Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and other internal & external interfaces to ensure that the customer succeeds in their objectives.
Responsible for the delivery of individual project consulting and technical expertise in systems infrastructure, integrations and data migration for DISW projects throughout the project lifecycle (including infrastructure/ performance/ migration and/or integration/testing/deployment/production support/postproduction support) for the Siemens PLM Software solution to be delivered optimally and contribute to the customer.Under mentorship, and in alignment with project processes and messaging, we work optimally with the customer to help manage expectations and support successful customer adoption.
We work on projects and assignments ranging from basic to moderate scope. We operate under self management for routine assignments and projects, and under light supervision for new assignments or projects. We actively participate in Country Communities of Practice, applying technical and industry standard methodologies and templates to deliver project tasks, and sharing our experiences to support continual improvement.
Solution Delivery
• Understand customer’s business goals, objectives and needs and the general business environment Work with the Infrastructure or Technical Architect to support Architecture tasks
• Perform infrastructure build and sizing tasks using available tools for new deployments and upgrades under mentorship of Architect.
• Implement performance analysis, tuning, baseline performance analysis, and monitoring activities for customer deployments under mentorship of Architect
• Install and configure common operating systems, database solutions using installation / configuration standard processes for non global deployments under mentorship of Architect
• Analyze current data for volume, attribute, and quality
• Support the data migration activities for legacy data and systems
• Develop test strategies/plans and perform testing activities, reporting results and resolving issues
• Support knowledge transfer (deliver training courses, user guides, mentor of users etc) in order to facilitate customer staff development and growth with implementation tasks and DI SW technology
• Development and deliver works with other systems as the need arises by the solution develop
Knowledge Sharing/Reuse and Practice Participation
Consistently participate in the Community of Practice within the relevant specialist area, contributing to discussions and sharing experiences that improve the organization’s knowledge sharing initiatives.
Supply to the creation and maintenance of documentation, including standards, processes, and policies that guide the deployment of technical solutions.
Maintain a solid understanding of the latest technical and industry trends, applying this knowledge to develop and refine innovative solution practices.
Stay updated on guidelines and methodologies within the area of specialism, ensuring these are applied effectively in day to day responsibilities.
Project Delivery
• Understand the context of the customer project, its contract type, key work you're doing and engagement model.
• Understand the work breakdown for the assigned work stream, how any associated deployment templates will align, its relationship to other workstreams and the overall customer solution.
• Provide support for estimation of time frames, work package breakdown, capability definitions required to efficiently implement the project
• Deliver accurate and timely information to technical team lead or project management team
• Contribute to the generation of relevant level of project support documentation in line with Siemens or customer Project Management Methodology
• Contribute to quality and phase gate reviews.
• Support the review of technical implementation experiences with project delivery team, assembling and sharing lessons learnt as part of the project review and close activities.
• Effectively align with project change management rules for the project
