This SCM Internship allows the opportunity to experience the day-to-day functions of a wide range of businesses as you learn how to analyze and support the strategic procurement aspects of a multi-billion dollar company.
In this role, participants observe and learn from Siemens’ team of strategic procurement professionals as they hone their skills in commodity management, contract management, supplier management, negotiation, risk assessment, strategy, data & financial analysis, and other procurement-based roles. There will be various projects assigned throughout your time with Siemens that will require individual thought, leadership, and innovation. You will be providing support for different indirect material categories and business partner management across all Siemens US businesses. Interaction will be primarily US focused, with limited Region Americas and German touchpoints.
This is a summer internship that offers hands-on experience in a real-world working environment and allows for the chance to apply the knowledge you've gained in the classroom setting to help problem solve! Upon completion of the internship program, high-performing interns who are seniors will have the opportunity to interview for a fulltime position in the PLDP rotational program.

To apply for the SCM Internship program, candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Majors: Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration
• Education: Current junior or senior undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited technical school, college, or university
• Preferred GPA: 3.0
• Availability: Ability to work part time throughout the school year (15-20 hours) and full time during the summer (35-40 hours)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Exception: Will consider sponsorship of short-term internship (up to 12 months) through the J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program. J-1 interns must be post-secondary university students or have graduated no more than 12 months prior to the Exchange Visitor Program start date.

The pay range for this position is 25 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
