Our Electrical Products business unit in Smart Infrastructure develops low and medium-voltage technology and solutions for power systems.
We are looking for undergraduate students to join our 12-week Operations Leadership Development Program summer internship (May 18 – August 7) with our Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. This internship will prepare you for a potential opportunity with our full-time two-year rotational Operations Leadership Development Program and other entry-level roles. This position will be based at our Roebuck, SC or Hingham, MA locations.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Participating in hands-on assignments where you will tackle real-world manufacturing challenges, enhance plant productivity, improve operations, drive efficiency and sustainability, and fuel the growth of our business and strategic partnerships with vendors and customers.
- Analyzing production processes, developing and implementing process improvements using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies, project management, and quality assurance
- Material planning, purchasing and procurement, resource planning, and logistics.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Rising juniors or rising seniors (as of summer 2026) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in: Industrial/Industrial Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related majors (must be enrolled as a student at the time of the internship).
- Available to work 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday) from May 18 to August 7, 2026
- Desire for a long-term career in manufacturing or a production environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Must be willing and able to relocate for the summer (housing stipend and mileage reimbursement are provided if required to relocate more than 50 miles from your permanent residence).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internship experience, coursework, or projects related to continuous improvement, lean methodologies, Six Sigma, Kaizen, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and/or manufacturing workflows.
- GPA 3.0 or higher.

The hourly pay range for this position $28.00 - $33.00 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
