As a Solution Expert, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation for our customers. Your mission will be to deeply understand the unique needs of forward-thinking companies across diverse industries, including discrete, process, and hybrid manufacturing. Utilizing your expertise in advanced manufacturing technologies, you will design and deploy innovative Solution Architectures using Siemens' leading Portfolio.
We are looking for a Solution Expert. This position is remote but must be based near a major airport in the continental, United States.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Lead high-impact digital transformation initiatives with a focus on Siemens Industrial Edge implementation, including setup, customization, and ongoing optimization
- Architect, develop and/or configure robust dashboards, applications, and analytics to improve operational performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that enhance manufacturing operations, utilizing Siemens technologies like Senseye or the Production Copilot
- Ensure seamless delivery of project milestones through hands-on execution and technical leadership
- Sales Support (Occasional): Provide technical expertise during sales engagements to align solutions with customer needs
- Contribute to proposal development by identifying technical requirements and assessing feasibility
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing processes and production operations across diverse manufacturing environments (discrete, process, or hybrid manufacturing)
- Demonstrated experience in IoT solution development, configuration, deployment, and scaling for industrial applications
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects in manufacturing environments with strong commitment to timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder satisfaction
- Practical knowledge of industrial data connectivity and integration methods
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- Must be based near a major airport in the continental United States (remote position)
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% domestically and occasionally internationally for client-site project executions and implementations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with focus in automation, industrial systems, simulation, AI/ML, or data analytics
- Extensive hands-on experience with Siemens Industrial Edge platform, including edge application development and deployment
- Familiarity with Siemens digital manufacturing solutions such as Senseye Predictive Maintenance, Production Copilot, or other Siemens Xcelerator portfolio products
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols including OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, PROFINET, and other common industrial protocols
- Deep understanding of OT (Operational Technology) networking, including network segmentation, security best practices, and IT/OT convergence
- Experience with industrial cybersecurity frameworks and secure connectivity solutions
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of scalable infrastructure design, virtualization technologies, and edge-to-cloud architectures
- Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and agile development practices
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Node.js) for automation and application development
- Experience developing custom dashboards and analytics solutions using tools such as Grafana, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms (this experience would be applied to Siemens Technologies listed above)
- Demonstrated experience leading technical delivery engagements from conception through implementation
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in pre-sales technical support, solution architecture presentations, and proposal development
- Track record of building strong customer relationships and driving customer success

The pay range for this position is $74,970 - $128,520 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
