Here at Siemens, we take pride in enabling sustainable progress through technology. We do this through empowering customers by combining the real and digital worlds, thereby improving how we live, work, and move today and for the next generation! We know that the only way a business thrives is if our people are thriving. That’s why we always put our people first. Our global, diverse team would be happy to support you and challenge you to grow in new ways. Who knows where our shared journey will take you?

Transform the everyday with us!

Siemens Digital Industries Automation is a leader in industrial automation and digitalization. Our technologies enable customers to digitally transform their factories and manufacturing processes through automation by helping them collect, interpret, and leverage the vast amounts of data generated through the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). This unlocks previously unrecognized manufacturing potential, reveals new insights, and enables solutions that seemed unimaginable before.

We are looking for engineering students to join the Digital Industries Automation Internship Program - Service Execution Track. This position will be based in Alpharetta, GA or Lebanon, OH.

This is a 12-week summer internship program (May 18, 2026 – August 7, 2026) that is designed to help you develop critical professional skills, explore our innovative technology portfolio, and gain a deep understanding of the technical services, trainings, and repair solutions we deliver to ensure our customers get the most value and support from our industrial automation products throughout their lifetime. This internship will prepare you for a potential opportunity with our full-time 18-month Automation Genesis development program or other entry-level roles after graduation.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Optimizing and supporting the development of customer learning programs and structures through gap analyses of our Learning Management System (LMS) and preparing business use cases for initiatives.
  • Applying programming skills to analyze LMS system architectures, capture functional requirements, and support data migration across systems.
  • Applying Six Sigma methodologies for process mapping and improvement initiatives that will enhance service delivery, inter-service line processes, or repair center and warehouse logistics
  • Implementing digitalization, setting up databases, collecting and analyzing data and reporting related to business activities and operational performance, or training AI bots.
  • Gaining exposure to our drives, motors, industrial computers, controls, and other technical products, as well as repair procedures and testing equipment.
  • Participating in project management tasks across a variety of service programs and collaborating with Siemens experts across multiple departments as well as external partners.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Rising undergraduate juniors or seniors (as of summer 2026) or master’s students pursuing a degree in: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related major
  • Must be a student at the time of the internship and on track to graduate within one or two years after the internship (no later than May 2028)
  • Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, from May 18 to August 7
  • Keen interest and familiarity with AI tools, prompt engineering, and data-driven solutions
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel and Visio
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate and effectively engage with different teams
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and methodical thinking, with an understanding of how businesses operate and how actions impact overall outcomes
  • Must be willing and able to relocate to Alpharetta, GA or Lebanon, OH for the summer (housing stipend and mileage reimbursement are provided if required to relocate more than 50 miles from your permanent residence)
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Proficient in programming (e.g., C#, SQL)
  • Familiarity with project management and Six Sigma
  • Leadership roles in student organizations
