You’ll make an impact by 

• Contribute to the development and implementation of global commodity strategies for mechanical assemblies across all relevant categories, ensuring optimal cost, quality, delivery, and innovation. 
• Support the supplier selection, development, and performance management, including capability assessments. 
• Monitor global supply markets, including technology trends, cost drivers, risks, and innovation potential, and translate insights into actionable strategies. 
• Coordinate and support a virtual team of factory buyers globally to achieve optimum conditions and savings through collaborative, targeted activities.
• Work on global projects, coordinating stakeholders across countries and time zones to ensure aligned outcomes. 
• Leverage digital and AI supported procurement tools to enhance transparency, decision making, and process efficiency. 
• Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, sustainability standards, and regulatory requirements. 
• Report regularly on commodity performance, project status, risks, and value contributions.
• Collaborate cross functionally with engineering, product management, operations, finance, and cross regional teams to define needs and jointly drive value creation. 

Your defining qualities

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical/commercial field. 
• Experience & Skills: 
• Several years of professional experience in commodity management and/or strategic procurement in an international environment. 
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract handling capabilities. 
• High proficiency in data analytics, digital procurement tools, and ideally AI supported applications. 
• Ways of working: 
• Excellent analytical skills and structured problem solving approach and the ability to work independently, proactively, and effectively within a dynamic global environment. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience managing global stakeholders. 
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
• Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
