Senior Project Services Consultant (Transition) - (m/f/d)
As a Senior Project Consultant (Transition), you'll take ownership of high-impact transition initiatives for internal customers, bringing strategic oversight, proven execution capabilities, and deep expertise in managing organizational change. You'll be expected to independently navigate complexity, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver sustainable outcomes in transformation environments.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end transition execution from planning through stabilization, ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption
- Develop and implement comprehensive transition strategies, including phasing plans, cutover approaches, rollback scenarios, and hypercare support
- Navigate and resolve complex, ambiguous situations independently; provide strategic options and recommendations to senior leadership
- Manage multi-stakeholder environments across functions, countries, and organizational levels; build credibility and drive alignment at senior management level
- Provide clear, executive-ready updates with risk assessment, trade-off analysis, and decision recommendations
- Lead critical workshops, governance forums, and decision meetings with senior stakeholders
- Own change adoption activities including impact assessment, stakeholder mapping, communication strategy, training programs, resistance management, and post-transition support
- Champion modern digital tools and AI-enabled productivity solutions; mentor junior consultants in best practices
- Contribute to capability building and thought leadership within the consulting practice
What You Bring
Required
- Proven experience leading complex transition projects in transformation, consulting, or enterprise environments (e.g., system implementations, organizational restructuring, process transformations, service transitions)
- Demonstrated expertise in transition management methodologies, including cutover planning, data migration oversight, business continuity management, and hypercare stabilization
- Strong change management credentials with proven ability to design and execute adoption strategies for large-scale transformations (stakeholder analysis, communication planning, training design, resistance management)
- Track record of working independently with minimal supervision; able to identify risks proactively, escalate appropriately, and resolve issues autonomously
- Proven ability to influence and manage relationships with senior stakeholders (C-level, VP, Director level); comfort presenting to and challenging leadership constructively
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills; able to synthesize complex information, identify patterns, and develop actionable recommendations
- Advanced facilitation and presentation capabilities; experience leading senior-level workshops and governance forums
- Fluent English (written and spoken) with executive-level communication skills
Nice to have (not required)
- Deep expertise with enterprise delivery frameworks and tools (p.e. Agile/SAFe, Waterfall, hybrid; Jira, MS Project, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Confluence, M365 suite or other)
- Professional certifications demonstrating commitment to continuous development (PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Prosci, ACMP, SAFe, ITIL Expert, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt)
- Experience in SAP transformations, shared service center transitions, or M&A integration projects
- Multilingual capabilities (French, German, or other European languages)
- Passion for digital transformation, AI enablement, and next-generation ways of working
Work Setup & Travel
This role requires flexibility for cross-country collaboration and project-based travel up to 30% of working time, depending on transition requirements and project phases. Specific work arrangements will be discussed during the hiring process.
