Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Finance team of Grid Technologies- Grid Solutions business in India. The incumbent will be responsible for all finance matters pertaining to business operations and day-to-day decision making of the execution unit. Also, the incumbent will be the strategic partner to the Execution Unit (EU) Head. The role combines financial control, performance management, commercial decision support, and governance. Key deliverables are ensuring profitable growth, strong cash flows, and compliance with company policies.
The role reports directly to the Executive Director & Chief Finance Officer (ED & CFO) of Siemens Energy India Limited and is based in Gurgaon, Haryana.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Leadership and Strategy
  o Act as the finance partner to the EU Head, influencing strategic and operational decisions
  o Lead business planning, long-term financial strategy, and capital allocation for the EU
  o Evaluate new projects, bids, investments, and expansion opportunities substantiating it with robust financial analysis

Budgeting, Forecasting and Performance Management
  o Lead annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and multi-year business plans
  o Track EU performance against budget/targets; analyze variances and proactively initiate corrective actions
  o Establish and monitor KPIs viz. New orders, Revenue, Profit margins, Free Cash Flow, ROCE and Operating Working Capital

Oversee Commercial and Project Finance
  o Support pricing, bidding, and contract negotiations from a financial and risk perspective
  o Review project profitability, cost controls, and lifecycle margins
  o Identify commercial risks, claims, and opportunities, plus ensure timely mitigation

Financial Control and Compliance
  o Ensure accurate, timely monthly and quarterly closing of EU financial statements
  o Maintain strong internal controls, adherence to accounting standards, and group policiesand guidelines
  o Coordinate audits viz. internal, statutory, tax and proactively address issues identified

Monitor Cash Flow and Working Capital Management
  o Drive cash flow optimization, collection of account receivable, inventory control, and payables strategy
  o Monitor project cash flows and identify deviations from budget
  o Support treasury initiatives viz. Currency management and Commodity Hedging for the EU

Risk Management and Governance
  o Proactively identify financial, operational, and regulatory risks within the EU
  o Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks
  o Support enterprise risk management initiatives

Team Leadership and Capability Building
  o Lead and develop the EU finance team
  o Build strong processes, systems, and a high-performance culture
  o Drive automation, digitization, and continuous improvement in finance processes.

Key stakeholders include Company Management, EU Head and Leadership Team, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Tax, Audit, Sales, Projects, Operations, and Procurement teams.

• Key success measures (KPIs) include EU profitability and margin improvement, cash flow and working capital efficiency, accuracy of forecasts and financial reporting, risk mitigation and compliance outcomes, team capability building, diversity advancement, and overall process
maturity.

What you need to bring:
• Chartered Accountant (mandatory) and Cost Accountant
• 12+ years of experience in finance, with 5+ years in a senior finance leadership role strong exposure to business unit finance, project finance, commercial finance, or P&L management
• Industry experience preferred in infrastructure, EPC, power, transmission, manufacturing, or capital-intensive sectors
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
• Deep understanding of financial statements, project economics, and cash flows
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• High integrity, ownership mindset, and execution orientation
• Adaptive to an advanced level of digitalization and automation of processes
• Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-growing and complex environment
