What will be your new role?


The Skill Consultant serves as a strategic advisor helping business teams identify, build, and sustain capabilities aligned to organizational priorities. You'll work with business leaders, HR Business Partners, and Learning Managers to identify skill gaps, design learning pathways, and drive workforce upskilling initiatives.

Your Impact & Key Responsibilities


1. 🎯 Bridge Business Needs & Capability Solutions

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand capability needs and skill priorities
  • Build trust through active listening and empathetic questioning
  • Recommend upskilling strategies tailored to business goals
  • Help leaders unlock the full potential of their teams

2. 📊 Turn Data Into Actionable Insights

  • Conduct skill assessments and identify skill gaps
  • Analyze data from skill platforms to inform decisions
  • Monitor learning progress and program results
  • Enable evidence-based decisions that strengthen workforce capability

3. 🛤️ Design Learning Journeys That Work

  • Design role-based learning journeys using internal and external content
  • Adapt approaches to diverse learning needs
  • Work with learning platform teams to create personalized recommendations
  • Create pathways that help people grow in meaningful ways

4. 🚀 Enable Meaningful Change

  • Implement upskilling programs and initiatives
  • Create adoption strategies and engagement campaigns
  • Support people through change with empathy and clarity
  • Partner with teams to track progress and address barriers

5. ? Collaborate Across Boundaries

  • Co-create solutions with subject matter experts and global learning teams
  • Mentor and coach business leaders on capability development
  • Share knowledge and best practices across the organization
  • Foster collaboration to solve complex capability challenges

What we're looking for?


Technical & Functional Skills

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional strategies
  • Experience with skills management frameworks, proficiency models, and assessments
  • Experience with learning platforms (LXP, LMS) and skill taxonomies
  • Ability to design learning journeys aligned to role families
  • Knowledge of workforce planning and emerging skills trends
  • Comfort working with data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI basics preferred)

Consulting & People Skills

  • Strategic problem-solving and consultative questioning
  • Active listening and empathetic communication
  • Ability to translate business needs into capability solutions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English (German is a plus)
  • Collaborative mindset with genuine interest in supporting others' growth

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Business, Education, or related field
  • Min. 3 years in Learning & Development, Talent Management, Capability Consulting, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience with skilling or talent development initiatives preferred
  • Exposure to digital learning platforms or future skills programs is an advantage
  • German language is an advantage (not mandatory)
