As a Customer Solution Architect within Sales Acceleration, you will be closely integrated and instrumental to the Automotive, Aerospace, and Heavy Industrial vertical sales teams. Reporting to the Manager of Sales Acceleration for these industries, you will serve as a key individual contributor and strategic partner to the sales organization.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with account managers across a select set of industries to drive adoption of the Siemens Digital Industries (DI) portfolio, with a strong focus on automation and digitalization solutions. By applying the Digital Thread methodology and leveraging the Challenger Sales Approach, you will help differentiate Siemens’ offerings, accelerate the sales cycle, and maximize solution and product revenue.

You will translate customer challenges and business insights into effective, cost-efficient solutions aligned with the Siemens Sales Engagement Model. Acting as a trusted advisor to both customers and vertical sales teams, you will deliver measurable outcomes that support customer success while advancing Siemens’ strategic objectives.

This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the continental US.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Solution Development: Facilitate customer vision, discovery, and solution scoping activities to align stakeholders around business outcomes, define technical and commercial requirements, and shape differentiated solution strategies. Translate complex challenges into actionable requirements and deliver innovative automation and digitalization solutions that support scalable, future‑ready operations.
  • Trusted Advisory: Serve as a primary technical and strategic advisor to customers and aligned sales teams, guiding them through the adoption of Siemens’ advanced Digital Industries technologies and solutions.
  • Driving Sales Engagement: Independently apply and drive the Siemens Sales Engagement Model, engaging the appropriate resources across active opportunities to accelerate deal progression and achieve sales acceleration objectives.
  • Strategic Implementation: Execute sales acceleration strategies, policies, and guidelines with discipline and intent, ensuring alignment with overall Sales Acceleration leadership objectives.
  • Market & Customer Expertise: Continuously monitor emerging market trends and shifting customer priorities within assigned focus industries to proactively shape solution strategies and identify opportunities to apply the Siemens Digital Industries Automation portfolio to customer challenges.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Marketing & Communications, Product Management, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless value delivery, alignment across the organization, and maximized market impact..

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of proven experience in a technical sales, solution consulting, application engineering, or similar individual contributor role within industrial automation or digitalization
  • 8+ years proven ability to engage customers effectively through strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated customer‑centric approach.
  • Understanding of Siemens Industrial Automation and Digitalization Portfolio, with a proven track record of applying these technologies (or similar) to solve complex customer problems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of key market drivers, trends, and evolving customer needs, particularly in the context of digital transformation
  • Experience operating within structured sales processes and diverse project collaboration models.
  • Excellent verbal, written and time management skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States permanently, without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a technical sales, solution consulting, application engineering, or similar individual contributor role within industrial automation or digitalization
  • Experience working directly with end customers in Automotive, Aerospace, and Heavy Industrial verticals.
  • Technical expertise within Siemens Industrial Automation and Digitalization Portfolio
  • Prior experience in developing and deploying customer-facing solutions across multiple channels to market
  • Strategic Agility: Ability to foresee future trends in focus markets related to industrial automation and digitalization, contributing to competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans, and influencing outcomes without direct authority
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business operations and market dynamics, with knowledge of current and future practices, trends, and information impacting the industrial business landscape
  • High Degree of Professional Ownership: Demonstrate strong personal accountability and take initiative to drive projects to completion, even in large, complex working groups
  • Organizational Agility: Knows how to get things done through formal and informal networks. Works effectively in a matrix structure to exploit opportunities. Rallies the team behind the right opportunities and initiatives
  • Exceptional Customer Focus: A dedication to understanding and meeting customer needs, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement in products, solutions, and services
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and thrive in a remote, virtual work environment

The pay range for this position is $91,463 - $156,794 annually with a target incentive of of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
