Job Purpose

The Area Sales Professional is responsible for growing the Imaging business in the assigned territory by achieving sales targets, developing customer relationships, and supporting customers throughout the sales and installation process. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, managing existing accounts - ensuring repeat business, and ensuring customer satisfaction while following Siemens Healthineers’ values and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth

Achieve yearly sales targets for orders, revenue, and profitability.

Plan and manage sales activities in the assigned territory.

Identify new business opportunities in government, private, and corporate hospitals.

Promote Siemens Imaging solutions by explaining clinical and operational benefits to customers.

Customer & Account Management

Build strong relationships with hospital management, doctors, radiologists, and procurement teams.

Manage key customer accounts and support them throughout the buying process.

Handle long sales cycles, tenders, and negotiations professionally.

Deal Management

Work with product, application, and service teams to prepare and close proposals.

Maintain accurate sales forecasts and update opportunities in CRM regularly.

Follow pricing guidelines and internal approval processes.

Collaboration & Execution

Coordinate with Service, Applications, Finance, and Supply Chain teams for smooth order execution and installation.

Support successful project completion and develop customer reference sites.

Market Awareness & Compliance

Track market trends and competitor activities in the region.

Follow all company compliance, ethics, and business guidelines.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Achievement of sales and revenue targets

Healthy sales pipeline and forecast accuracy

Growth in market share within the territory

Customer satisfaction and successful installations

Compliance with company processes

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical, Management, or related field

5–10 years of sales experience, preferably in medical imaging or healthcare equipment

Good understanding of hospital purchasing processes.
