Your tasks and responsibilities:
Work with stakeholders to identify training & development needs across all levels within the business, defining overall strategy. Conduct training needs analysis and identify approaches for all roles onsite. Establish gap analysis across the business and develop training & development solutions for which appropriate measures can be applied to attain high levels of competency within the business. Provide guidance to managers on potential trainings & development opportunities available. Co-ordinate the delivery of training for all staff onsite developing skills. 
Reporting to the head of quality, working within a highly regulated industry meeting quality system and GMP requirements. Supporting these requirements through the delivery and operation of effective training. Manage all training activity onsite including responsibility for the  activities of external trainers. 
Develop and oversee training administration, ensuring appropriate training is delivered. Manage the storage and archiving of training record evidence. Co-ordinate mandatory training elements to ensure completion and compliance in a timely manner. Responsible for training inputs to the Induction process. Engage with the relevant training bodies such as Irish MedTech, IBEC  and L&DI. 
Define the delivery methods for training requirements. Design and deliver appropriate training as necessary. Measuring the effectiveness of training and developing training to continuously improve effectiveness.
Support employee development with a clear understanding of the National Framework of Qualifications and Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) linking to the needs for our Business. Supporting Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities onsite, ensuring CPD policies are  up to date and liaising with associated professional bodies.
Responsible for ensuring training compliance is maintained appropriately. Ability to show the training activities to auditors and regulators. Supporting managers across the business to ensure teams are trained to meet compliance needs. Ensure all staff comply, at all times with the relevant Quality and environmental standards, e.g. ISO 134585, Environmental Regulations, US FDA Quality System regulations ( QSR 21 CFR Part 8200, and relevant European Directives and Regulations.
 
 
Your qualifications and experience:
Appropriate experience in a Training and Development Manager role in a large organisation within a regulated environment with a core appreciation of a highly regulated industry where skills and competencies are industry requirements. 
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (ideally Education, Development, Training, Quality, Engineering, Science QQI level 8 or equivalent). 
Ability to assess training needs to meet organisation requirements based on data analysis and collaborating with stakeholders. As a follow-on, have evidence to show compliance and show staff development. 
Experience with training grant submissions to national and EU bodies 
 
Your attributes and skills:
High paced individual who is eager and passionate for developing and delivering training solutions in close collaboration with key stakeholders. 
Strong leadership skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams to drive training completion. Self-starter with a bias for action and an ability to follow activities through to completion. Good organization skills. 
Cross-discipline collaboration skills. Aptitude for systems level thinking, including development of training. Ability to write structured, concise, unambiguous technical English with high attention to detail in addition to a core appreciation of training requirements. 
Computer literacy (including MS Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/ MS Project) and Interface to Product Lifecycle tools such as SAP, Teamcenter or other. Presentation skills whereby complex messages can be presented to stakeholders in a succinct manner i.e.ability to present and to sell convincingly.
