As a Cash Management & Payments Consultant (f/m/d) for West Europe & Africa, you'll be an integrated member of our Corporate Treasury organization and operate in the dynamic environment of global cash management. You will play a key role in shaping and executing cash management and payment strategies across our WEA region, driving innovation, operational excellence, and efficient payment infrastructure while ensuring effective risk management. This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage advanced payment technologies, lead innovative implementations, and contribute to Siemens' Treasury of the Future.


Your mission will be…  

Operational Excellence
  • Support our Group companies in West Europe & Africa (WEA) in all topics relating to bank account management and payment infrastructure; countries in WEA scope are Italy, South Africa, Spain, Greece, Belgium, France, Morocco, Algeria, Portugal
  • Ensure seamless execution of day-to-day cash management operations, including handling inquiries from banks and Siemens subsidiaries regarding payment transactions, supporting internal audits, and managing payment inquiries, recalls, and embargo hits
  • Monitor and execute liquidity planning and transactions, including analyzing cash positions, making informed liquidity management decisions, and providing regular reporting to stakeholders
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Siemens Business Units, optimizing the use of banking and payment services and delivering tailored solutions for their cash management and payment needs
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with regional banking partners across WEA, leveraging strong bank operational know-how, and negotiate contracts for cash pooling, banking fees, EBICS/API/SWIFT communication contracts
  • Closely work with banking and payment providers to enhance Siemens' cash and payment capabilities and optimize the use of payment infrastructure, aligned with global strategies and emerging technologies

Governance & Compliance
  • Advise our Group companies on treasury specific controls, policies and procedures, and provide trainings to regional stakeholders
  • Maintain governance frameworks for cash management, ensuring adherence to Siemens' global standards and regional regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate banks and maintain business relationships, ensuring compliance with banking governance models
  • Manage bank account attestations and audit requests

Project and Change Management
  • Participate in Group Treasury projects, e.g. in the context of M&A activities (preparing creation of new entities and integrating new acquisitions from Treasury perspective), transformational process automation, and streamlining procedures
  • Collaborate with our worldwide treasury centers and cross-functional teams to scope, plan, and execute projects that enhance efficiency, security, and compliance
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes and implement efficient cash management solutions, payment processing structures, and cash concentration set-ups
  • Integrate innovative solutions, incorporating Real-Time Payments, APIs, Blockchain Technology, ISO 20022 standards, automation, and AI applications in workflow design, dashboards, and XML processing

 
We are looking for someone with… 

Education & Experience
  • You hold a degree in the field of business administration, finance, economics or IT with finance focus. Further specialization is valued e.g. MBA/CTP/ACT
  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience in a corporate treasury, bank, consulting company or in a relevant regional/global role
  • Strong bank operational know-how with hands-on experience in payment systems, SWIFT, EBICS, XML, API integrations, and banking platforms
  • Expertise in payment technologies, including Real-Time Payments, ISO 20022, blockchain, and fraud prevention tools
  • Familiarity with treasury management systems and ERP systems
  • Work experience in digital innovation and/or project management is desirable
  • Knowledge of WEA regions and its regulatory framework is desirable

Skills
  • Demonstrated innovation mindset with the ability to bring fresh perspectives and added value to established processes
  • You demonstrate an affinity for financial processes and digital tools – dashboard and workflow design, understanding XML, automation, AI application use cases
  • Languages: Business proficiency in English is required. Additional WEA languages are highly beneficial: Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Flemish, French, Greek, or Arabic
