What will you do?

  • As a Jr. Communications Specialist, you possess a combination of business and technical skills to help support Siemens Canada’s digital transformation.
  • Working within Corporate Communications you will:
    • Support Events and content requirements which may include:
      • Execution and support of internal and external events including logistics, content, speakers, etc.
      • Tracking and managing event budgets and key performance measures
      • Writing and formatting communication materials such as eblasts, internal news articles, Inter-company TV ads, social media posts etc.
  • Creating and editing content assets including photos, videos and audio files.
  • You have demonstrated graphic design and video editing skills in a variety of platforms including Canva, the Adobe Suite – InDesign, Photoshop etc.
  • You embrace AI technology
  • Support Siemens Corporate Social Responsibility Program including donation and volunteering events and initiatives
  • You may be asked to participate in special projects based on business requirements.
  • Work with Canadian and global team and project members, including executive leadership.

What will you need to succeed?

  • New graduate from a university/college program in Communications
  • Graduated from post-secondary within the last 12 months.
  • Above average study performance (Accumulative average > 2.5 (B-)). Transcripts to be provided upon request.
  • Proven experience in planning, creating, and executing events is a must
  • Skilled in content creation and editing (Photoshop, InDesign) is a must
  • Strong video‑editing skills is a must
  • Web publishing experience (AEM or SharePoint an asset)
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite is a must
  • Excellent project and time management abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in communications/marketing and technology
  • Bilingualism an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Adaptable, proactive, resourceful, and dependable
  • Able to work independently with confidentiality
  • Collaborative team player

Hourly rate is commensurate with experience, and ranges between $ 25.00 CAD - $ 28.00 CAD.
