Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility, Inc. is looking for a financial analyst in the Production area for the Customer Services Business Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring our production activities for the Maintenance business segment. The Financial Analyst will provide a wide field of financial analysis and reporting for Service and Solution to include absorption reporting, including cost accounting analysis, forecasting, labor rate calculations, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will also drive the digitalization of reporting, analysis and planning of operations. This exciting and challengingposition is based in Lexington, North Carolina and will report directly to Segment Controller.

What will you be doing?

Being a financial partner for plant manager, you will provide and perform financial reporting and variance analysis for Operations Finance Manager (Forecasting, month end close, budget).

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Validation that monthly financials are accurate prior to closing in the system.
  • Interaction with operations team to derive monthly closing commentary and variance drivers
  • Analysis of balance sheet data and forecasting of key positions.
  • Monitor labor bookings, absorption reporting.
  • Cost Accounting analysis and Cost Center Controlling.
  • Align production schedule towards forecasting.
  • Supports month-end & ongoing reporting including PUMA/Productivity, P&L, Balance Sheet, Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), Inventory, Reserves, Warranty, and Journal Entries.
  • Provides analysis on operations financials to drive improvement in the organization to Operations Finance Manager and Plant Manager
  • Drives implementation of digital solutions for the operations.
  • Perform historical and/or trend analysis on key business components
  • Handles Ad hoc reporting for Operations Finance Manager, Plant Manager, and other local management teams.
  • Acts as an advisor that troubleshoots and resolves complex problems within multi-departments and/or cross-functional areas.
 

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or similar
  • Understanding of factory/ manufacturing processes, understanding of cost accounting and financial concepts in a manufacturing set-up
  • Experience in Variance Analysis, Financial Reporting and Forecasting.
  • Good proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., V-lookups, Pivot tables etc.).
  • Good understanding of Microsoft products (Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • High degree of critical thinking and very detail oriented.
  • Very good communication skills, in particular in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to transition from non-digital to digital solutions.
  • Understanding of SAP or similar ERP system preferred.
  • Self-motivated individual who requires and prefers little guidance from manager.
  • Very good communications skills, including the ability to provide data in a concise and appropriate manner.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Knowledge in digital tools like Tableau, Knime, and Snowflake.
  • SAP experience-Intermediate level.
  • Certifications in Agile methods is a plus

The pay range for this position is $111,282 - $130,662 annually with a target incentive of of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
