Position: Bid Sales Engineer – Technical
Experience: 10–15 Years | Location: Gurugram
Business Segment- EA Solutions (EHV / HV / MV / LV)

Role Summary
We are seeking a commercially astute Bid Sales Engineer to drive winning techno‑commercial proposals for turnkey electrical projects across utilities, infrastructure, data centers, and industrial segments.
This role is critical to converting customer requirements into competitive, value‑led offers, influencing specifications early, and supporting sales teams to win strategic orders. You will act as the technical backbone of the sales organization, partnering closely with customers and internal stakeholders to shape deal strategy and margins.

Key Responsibilities

Lead preparation of techno‑commercial bids for EHV/HV, MV & LV turnkey solutions including AIS/GIS substations, protection & control, automation, and MV/LV panels.
Analyze RFQs, tenders, and specifications to define winning bid strategies aligned to customer needs and business objectives.
Work closely with engineering, sourcing, and finance to deliver optimized technical solutions, BOQs, pricing, and risk assessments.
Support sales through customer meetings, technical clarifications, presentations, and negotiations.
Drive early customer engagement, specification influence, and technical prescription to seed new opportunities and new customers.
Benchmark competitors, lead value engineering, and improve bid competitiveness and hit rates.
Ensure compliance with internal costing, risk, and governance guidelines.
Leverage digitization and proposal automation tools to improve speed, quality, and consistency.

Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (mandatory); Master’s preferred.
10–15 years in bid engineering / proposal management for EHV/HV/MV/LV turnkey projects.
Strong understanding of T&D and industrial power systems, including data centers and infrastructure.
Sound knowledge of IEC/IS standards, protection schemes, grid codes, and substation design.
Strong commercial acumen, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Working knowledge of SAP/ERP, AutoCAD, and electrical design tools is an advantage.
