Position Summary: 

A Snapshot of Your Day

In this high visibility role, you will be an internal Digitalization Consultant with a strong focus on implementing datadriven solutions. You will build and maintain data pipelines and data solutions that power Siemens Energy, working both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team on everything from quickwin tasks to larger, more complex projects. You will develop and execute data analytics initiatives, create data products, and improve operational processes through welldesigned data solutions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong ownership to ensure timely and withinbudget delivery and is proficient in modern data engineering and data analytics tools and platforms.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities of role)

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of businessrelevant data.
  • Identify, design, and build scalable data products that support analytics and operational use cases.
  • Develop analytics solutions and perform data analysis and visualization using tools such as Alteryx, Snowflake, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, performance, and security across all data solutions, supported by clear and structured solution documentation.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions, while providing technical guidance to team members and stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, analytics, and cloud development, and contribute to shaping the target data architecture by helping define standards, patterns, and best practices.

What You Bring (required qualification and skill sets)

  •          University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  •       At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or related fields
  •          Strong SQL proficiency and knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages
  •          Experience with version control best practices and tools such as Git
  •          Expertise in building cloudbased data pipelines using Snowflake, Azure, dbt, or AWS
  •          Proven experience in developing data analytics solutions with Alteryx, Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI
  •          Knowledge of SAP data structures is a plus
  •         Ability to work independently and as part of a team in agile setups
  •         Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  •         Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data management
  •         Excellent communication skills, including strong oral and written English; German is a plus
