What will you do?
Core Accounting & Business Partnering:

• Collaborate on execution of month-end closing activities, financial statement analysis, and account reconciliation approval.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reviews for Business Units and Corporate Departments. Investigate variances in SAP and ensure complete and correct books and records.
• Gradually assume business partner responsibilities for assigned Corporate Departments and/or Business Units (BUs), providing technical accounting guidance under IFRS (e.g., revenue recognition, provisions, project accounting).
• Liaise with various internal departments on account reconciliation and cleanup
• Contribute to corporate accounting projects.
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives.

Payroll & Benefits Accounting:

• Monitor balance and reconciliation of the Payroll, Taxes and Benefits accounts to ensure the books and records are accurately reflected on a monthly basis.
• Liaise with external payroll provider and HR.
• Assist stakeholders with technical issues related to SAP and GL reconciliations.
• Champion and foster an environment of continuous improvement with primary emphasis on process re-engineering and automation of existing procedures.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA designation preferred
• Minimum 8 years experience in general accounting including period end close, reconciliations, journal entries, A/P, A/R, variance analysis, accruals, liaison with external auditors, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with SAP ERP
• Advanced Excel and visualization tools experience
• Experience with automation tools (PowerBI, Tableau) is required
• Business Process Improvement (BPI) mindset; demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to streamline and optimize existing processes in data collection, consolidation and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to craft solutions for the business
• Strong analytical organizational multi-tasking and attention-to-detail skills

Salary is commensurate with experience, and ranges between $85,000 - $105,000 CAD, excluding bonus and benefits. In addition to base salary, this role includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus of 18% of base salary, based on Company performance metrics.
