Role Summary
The Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing operations, improving production efficiency, and ensuring safe, cost-effective workflows. This role involves planning, analyzing, and enhancing production systems while collaborating cross‑functionally to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
· Process Planning & Execution
- Understand scope of work and plan equipment layout, material flow, and workflow design to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Establishes and maintains accidental‑prevention measures, including safety processes, guidelines, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develops and standardizes production processes, methods, and operational guidelines.
- Responsible for preparing detailed schedules, planning operational loads, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure seamless workflow execution.
- Assist in implementing improvements in repair processes.
· Budgeting & Cost Optimization
- Contributes to annual budget development for Industrial Engineering activities.
- Monitors expenditures and ensures adherence to approved budgets.
- Identifies cost‑saving opportunities through process optimization and resource utilization.
· Performance Measurement & Improvement
- Develops and implements performance measurement systems such as KPIs, cycle time, and productivity metrics.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives and ensures measurable performance enhancements across operations.
· Inspections, Investigations & Process Analysis
- Conducts inspections, audits, and process investigations to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Analyzes manufacturing and logistics processes, sequences, and workflows to identify bottlenecks and improvement areas.
· EHS Compliance
- Follow safety regulations and EHS guidelines during all shop-floor activities.
- Report hazards and assist in risk mitigation.
We don't need superheroes, just super minds
- Hands-on experience in turbine assembly, repair, and overhaul.
- Basic knowledge of precision machining and shrink-fit techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and BOMs.
- Familiarity with repair tools and measuring instruments.
- Commitment to EHS standards and safe work practices.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5–10 years of experience in turbine repair and assembly (preferably steam/gas turbines).
- Exposure to ERP systems and documentation practices (preferred).
- Strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team and under supervision.
- Willingness to learn and adopt new repair techniques.
