Siemens Digital Industries Software
Siemens Digital Industries Software (DI SW) helps organizations of all sizes digitally transform using software, hardware and services from the Siemens Xcelerator business platform. Siemens' software and the comprehensive digital twin enable companies to optimize their design, engineering and manufacturing processes to turn today's ideas into the sustainable products of the future. From chips to entire systems, from product to process, across industries, Siemens Digital Industries Software accelerates transformation.
At Siemens Electronic Design Automation (EDA), we develop sophisticated software tools that span the full breadth of semiconductor and electrical systems solutions, including integrated circuit design and verification, PCB design and manufacturing solutions, cable harness tools, and embedded software.
Start your career with the Strategic Student Program (SSP)
The SSP is our formal internship program at Siemens Software globally. You will be mentored by experts and work directly with teams to create business impact while gaining valuable professional experience. At Siemens, SSP interns gain access to an international student network and community, career development opportunities with professional growth pathways, comprehensive practical training throughout the program, access to the Siemens Learning Hub and other training materials, and the opportunity to work on exciting projects within a global and diverse team.
What you’ll be doing as an intern in one of the Tessent DFT Product Engineering team
You will work independently and as part of a global group of Tessent engineers across Europe, the United States, and other regions. The team applies advanced Design for Test (DFT) methodologies to ensure the manufacturing quality of microchips.
Within the Tessent DFT Product Engineering team, Product Engineers and Technical Product Owners work with the newest and unreleased features of Tessent software and present them to engineering teams in integrated circuit companies.
Tessent is Electronic Design Automation software developed by Siemens. The Tessent tool is used by the largest companies in the integrated circuit industry to insert DFT logic and prepare microchips for manufacturing tests. DFT is a branch of engineering largely based on research and development. The solutions designed by our engineering teams are based on IEEE standards and often extend them to address evolving industry challenges.
The Tessent DFT Product Engineering team is composed of Product Engineers and Technical Product Owners who specialize in modern DFT technologies. Team members are responsible for evaluating beta features and preparing demonstration materials, including technical documentation. Newly implemented features in Tessent are presented to major customers to explain the technology, benefits, and use models. These technologies will be used in future chip designs.
