Are you ready to shape the future of our document management? At Siemens Mobility, we are looking for a visionary and assertive Senior Document Manager to elevate our document landscape to the next level.

In a world where the volume and complexity of information are growing exponentially, robust document management and clear information governance are more crucial than ever. We are seeking an individual who not only manages but also designs and optimizes. This is your chance to bring in your full creative drive and vision!

Your Mission: Why This Role is Crucial

As a key person in our team, you will take responsibility for ensuring that our corporate documents and information are not only consistent and traceable but also agile enough to respond to changing requirements. You will be the driving force behind processes that make our document management future-proof and ensure the smooth implementation of document standards and strategies.

Your Responsibilities – Shaping, Not Just Managing:

  • Analysis of Information Needs: You will not only analyze internal and external requirements (e.g., compliance, audits, legal regulations) but also proactively translate these into clear, actionable strategies for document management and drive their implementation.
  • Definition & Establishment of Standards: The definition and establishment of criteria for identifying, classifying, and managing all relevant documents and information are in your hands – you will create full transparency and traceability.
  • Document Lifecycle Management: You will design strategies for the entire lifecycle of our documents – from creation and usage and audit proof archiving – and ensure their stringent and controlled implementation.
  • Operational Project Document Management: You will take operational responsibility for document management in projects, ensure compliance with defined standards, and actively support project teams in the efficient management of their documents.
  • Interdisciplinary Coordination: As a central interface, you will actively coordinate and support other departments and project teams to foster a culture of information consistency and shared understanding.
  • Strategic Impulse Setting: Your active participation in project and strategy meetings will be characterized by your conceptual input and your ability to drive and communicate decisions in the area of information and digitalization.
  • Process Optimization: You will establish and optimize processes for efficient document management to maximize the discoverability, accessibility, and integrity of our data and minimize compliance risks.

What You Bring – Your Personality Counts!

We are not just looking for a specialist, but a leader who loves challenges and wants to actively shape the change in how we handle documents.

  • Education: A successfully completed university degree (Bachelor, Master)
  • Language Skills: Excellent English language skills (at least B2 level) for confident communication in our international environment. German is an advantage.
  • Your Personality – Your Management Focus:
    • You possess a strong personality and the ability to strategically lead interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders in complex information landscapes and align them with common goals in document management.
    • You take full responsibility for document management in your projects and, if necessary, coordinate team members or external service providers.
    • With your strategic thinking, you recognize dependencies and develop future-oriented solutions for complex challenges in document management.
    • Your strong communication and negotiation skills enable you to convince stakeholders and achieve common goals in the sense of effective document management.
    • You work independently but are also a team player who keeps the overall success and document strategy in mind.
    • A systematic and reliable way of working is a matter of course for you – even under high demands for data integrity and compliance.
    • You have excellent moderation and presentation skills.
    • Willingness to travel for international collaboration and exchange with global teams (approx. 20%).
