S/4HANA Program Manager & Overall ERP Architect (f/m/d)
Siemens is seeking an exceptional senior leader for a dual-mandate role critical to the company’s enterprise-wide IT transformation. This position combines end-to-end program leadership for the SAP S/4HANA brownfield conversion with the strategic responsibility of defining and governing the global ERP architecture across Siemens.

You’ll make an impact by
- Lead the end-to-end conversion of 18 legacy SAP ECC systems to S/4HANA using a brownfield approach, ensuring successful technical delivery.
- Act as the accountable Siemens counterpart to SAP for the turnkey delivery model, managing scope, milestones, and commercial escalations.
- Own overall program governance including planning, budgeting, risk management, and executive reporting.
- Chair the program steering committee and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders, including CIO Office, divisional IT leadership, and Managing Board.
- Define and drive the simplification strategy, ensuring consistent architectural decisions across all rollout waves.
- Oversee migration activities towards SAP RISE where applicable, including cloud readiness, data migration, and hypercare phases.
- Ensure lifecycle management of compatibility packs through 2033.
- Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional PMO integrating Siemens, SAP, and strategic partners.
- Define, publish, and govern the global ERP target architecture, including standards, principles, and guidelines.
- Drive ERP landscape simplification (custom code, enhancements, add-ons) across all business units.
- Act as the final authority for architecture decisions, including sign-off in integration and functional testing phases.
- Maintain and evolve the ERP technology roadmap, incorporating innovations such as SAP BTP, AI/ML, and clean-core strategies.
- Ensure seamless integration between ERP and adjacent enterprise platforms (e.g., PLM, MES, CRM, HR, Treasury).
- Represent the ERP domain within the Enterprise Architecture Board, providing binding decisions on cross-system topics.
- Own and continuously enhance ERP reference architecture documentation and enable knowledge transfer across global IT teams.
- Drive innovation initiatives and proof-of-concepts leveraging S/4HANA capabilities.
- Education
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Experience & Skills
- 15+ years of experience in SAP ERP environments, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Experience in the manufacturing or industrial technology sector.
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs in complex, global organizations.
- Deep expertise in SAP ECC and S/4HANA architecture, including ABAP, Fiori/UI5, integration technologies (PI/PO, CPI), and SAP BTP.
- Strong experience managing SAP as a strategic partner, including complex contract and delivery models.
- Familiarity with SAP add-ons in logistics and foreign trade (e.g., CIP2SAP).
- Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., S/4HANA Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect).
- Expertise in ERP simplification, custom-code reduction, and clean-core strategies.
- Experience with SAP RISE and cloud-based transformation approaches.
- Experience leading large-scale programs with 100+ stakeholders across multiple regions and vendors.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at C-level and Managing Board level.

- Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage.
