Position Overview

Work with customers as a world leader in electronic design automation solutions, providing services for the world's largest electronic and semiconductor companies. Continue to learn and support state of the art Siemens FPGA Prototyping HW and SW tools. This position will provide technical selling support to the Korea' sales team out of the Korea office. As an FPGA Prototyping Applications Engineer, you will chip in to our success by assisting in the sales and deployment of Siemens FPGA Prototyping verification products as well as by increasing customer satisfaction and productivity hybrid.

Job Descriptions

• Drive business for Siemens EDA using hands-on technical expertise. Requires working directly with customers as part of the sales team by identifying and qualifying technical engagements, defining evaluation and benchmark criteria, executing technical campaigns to ensure technical milestones are met.
• Deploy Siemens EDA prototyping software and hardware solutions at customer sites.
• Promote technical customer service to build and strengthen customer relationships, ensuring long-term customer happiness and becoming the go-to expert for all customer inquiries and support.
• Collaborate with area sales management, account teams, and customers to identify business opportunities and technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical obstacles; develop and deliver technical presentations on new features and product updates.
• Provide in-depth technical feedback and product ideas to our prototyping product development teams to improve overall product performance.
• Communicate customers' technical requirements to product marketing.
• Build a network of peer-level technical relationships with customers.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure mutual success.

Job Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in a design engineering role focusing on functional verification, including emulation/prototyping and simulation, or recent experience as an Application Engineer in a relevant field.
• BS or MS or equivalent experience in EE, CE, CS or related areas
• Understanding of computer architecture, including industry-standard interfaces and memory subsystems.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with SoC design and verification methodologies
• Valid experience of SystemVerilog, Verilog and VHDL RTL design
• Experience of SystemVerilog, UVM, SystemC and/or C/C++ for sub-system or SoC level verification
• Strong Experience of ASIC and/or FPGA implementation - synthesis, static timing analysis and place & route
• Strong experience with multi-FPGA bring-up, multiple clock domains and asynchronous interfaces
• Strong experience with FPGA design and industry FPGA tools (Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus)
• Proficient in scripting using Perl, Python, Makefile with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms
• A good level in English, both writing and oral skills
• Proactive, a strong teammate and willing to accept challenges, learn new technologies and methodologies
• Must enjoy working with customers and multi-functional teams among R&D, product management, sales and marketing
