The Head of Planner Office will be responsible for developing business strategies, frameworks, and processes, focusing options to best exploit market opportunities to grow specification of Siemens offerings. This position will also be responsible forgo-to-market activities, business acceleration programs and creation of specification and construction programs / packages to grow order intake from new and existing market segments and channels.

This is a remote role that would be in the following locations: Cypress, CA; Fremont, CA; Rolling Meadows, IL; Plano, TX; Miramar, FL; Norcross, GA; Beltsville, MD; Raleigh, NC; Canton, MA; Morristown, NJ; Harleysville, PA. 

As the Head of Planner Office, you will:

  • Grow and develop Siemens into the #1 specified set of offerings in the market
  • Consult with the Portfolio teams to leverage the appropriate business segment
  • Set Construction Tier go-to-market strategies, backed by voice of the customer / channel and thorough understanding of how to win against competitors
  • Manage a team responsible for:
  • Creating the best strategies for positioning the Siemens portfolio, incl. ecosystem partners, within preconstruction, general contractors, architects and consulting engineering communities to influence specification
  • Supporting the field leadership and their regional BDMs in implementing those design phase and specification strategies with local general contractors, consulting engineers, architects, real-estate developers, and owners
  • Developing stronger relationships with a select group of national specifiers and contractors
  • Educate and collaborate with regions to ensure the local implementation of strategies, policies, frameworks, and activities enabling market share gains, and meet budget growth plans. Monitor the achievement of respective targets and compliance across organization.
  • Create, drive, monitor, and adjust growth programs for regional implementation, addressing construction packages and new business models
  • Integrate growth initiatives into standard processes and tools, to ensure regional adoption, in collaboration with Portfolio Sales Enablement Managers, Sales, and Operations
  • Manage initiatives from idea creation through monitoring results and making adjustments
  • Establish and implement actions to promote and drive initiatives internally and externally, in collaboration with other departments and Communications
  • Align, where necessary, with U.S. Portfolio Sales Enablement team and Service, Product, Software, and Sustainability Tech Units, implementing global “core” deliverables with adaptation
  • Report to the Head of Sales Excellence, with direction from Head of Sales.


You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in related discipline, with master’s preferred
  • 10+ years of Building Automation Systems industry experience
  • 5+ years of direct management experience
  • Direct sales experience preferred
  • Proven experience creating building / construction-tier programs
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage and drive results across organizational boundaries
  • A strategic-innovative mindset and strong results orientation coupled with driving and taking initiative
  • A high level of communications skills and a validated ability to collaborate and connect with employees and other partners at a senior management level
  • Ability to travel ~15%
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

The pay range for this position is $145,156 - $248,839 annually with a target incentive of of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
