What do you contribute?

Railigent X is Siemens Mobility’s open IoT platform leveraging AI and big data to transform rail asset management.

As part of the Ecosystem-Enabler team, you will focus on platform infrastructure, automation and developer enablement.

Your responsibilities include designing and operating Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure and implementing as well as maintaining GitOps workflows for platform and application deployments.

  • You build and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
  • Furthermore, you develop and automate tools and operational scripts using Python.
  • You support product teams in adopting platform standards and deployment best practices.
  • Also, you enhance platform reliability, scalability and operational efficiency.
  • You collaborate closely with DevOps engineers and development teams to continuously improve the platform ecosystem.
  • Finally, you contribute to platform observability, monitoring and operational automation.
 

What do you bring along?

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.
  • You bring several years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering roles.
  • You have strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and container-based platforms.
  • Furthermore, you have experience implementing GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD or FluxCD) and building CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab CI/CD.
  • You are experienced with cloud platforms (particullarly AWS) and Python for automation and tooling.
  • You have worked extensively in Linux-based environments and with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu.
  • You are familiar with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace, have experience with operating platform services for multiple development teams as well as cloud-native architectures and microservices,
  • Also, you bring strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and collaborate effectively within international, agile teams.
  • You are fluent in English; German skills are a plus
