Your Responsibilities

As part of our software development team for Train Protection Systems, you will:

  • Collaborate within the Control-guide RBC Workstation development team, creating operator workstation software for the ETCS Radio Block Centre.
  • Participate in an agile project environment comprising approximately 20 team members.
  • Design and implement software components, develop source code, and manage component tests.
  • Use C++, WinCC OA Control scripting language, and partially Qt and Java for coding tasks.
  • Perform debugging, analysis, and troubleshooting for existing software to resolve errors from integration or operation.
  • Enhance and develop software systems and solutions, primarily in Linux environments with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware.
 

What We Require From You

To be successful in this role, you should bring:

  • A degree in Information Technology (Bachelor's level or equivalent).
  • Several years of professional experience in C/C++ software development.
  • Expertise in WinCC OA, along with knowledge of Qt or Java.
  • Solid Linux skills, as well as proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols, such as IP protocols.
  • Advanced collaboration skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Knowledge and experience with industry-specific standards and processes, such as CENELEC, EN 50128, EN 50129, and ETCS (highly preferred).
  • Fluent English skills, with basic German knowledge being an advantage.
